AT COALI WINERY, ONLY “LIMITED EDITIONS”

Land, selection, family, refinement, sustainability, and biodiversity protection: these are the values that guide Azienda Agricola Coali, located in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica area, in Sant’Ambrogio di Valpolicella (Verona, Italy).

Coali is an ancient name, derived from “covo”—meaning shelter or nest—and it recalls the natural shape of the surrounding landscape: an embrace of hills that cradle our vineyards and our history. Here, land and family merge in a genuine balance, where every choice is born from respect for the environment and the desire to preserve the ecosystem.

For us, quality is also a matter of numbers: 9 hectares of marl and limestone soils, entirely hilly and south-facing. Only 20% of the grapes we grow—the very best—are vinified on the estate, resulting in an annual production of about 30,000 bottles.

Our labels include Valpolicella Classico DOC, Superiore DOC, and Ripasso DOC. Only in the most favorable vintages do we produce Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG, also in a Riserva version with extremely limited production, and once every five years the Rosso Veronese IGT, the highest expression of our creative spirit.
The range is completed by a small production of Recioto and our Amarone grappa.

We take care of every stage of production ourselves: from vineyard management overseen by Mario Savoia, to vinification, and finally sales and hospitality in the cellar, managed by Marina Savoia.

For years we have been a certified sustainable winery, committed to environmental integration and biodiversity protection. We never purchase grapes: our wines are made exclusively from indigenous varieties grown in our own vineyards, so that every bottle expresses our territory.

Our grapes are selected in three stages: during the hand harvest, before the drying process, and after the appassimento. True quality begins in the vineyard, where every action is guided by respect for nature.

To be fully integrated with the territory means living in harmony with it: protecting the land, enhancing its culture, and passing down its traditions. Our winery is a living organism in balance with the environment.

Our passion for the land is our most precious heritage: we are farmers and winemakers proud of our origins, guardians of a territory we love and wish to keep alive through our wines.
