Pietralta is a small winery that strives for the highest quality, while emphasizing the uniqueness and distinctiveness of its products.
Unlike mass-produced wines made with mere technical correctness, Pietralta creates truly special and personal wines, the result of the connection between man and nature.
We have been producing wine and oil since 1985, following the integrated agriculture system, and in 2012 we obtained Organic certification because protecting the environment requires greater awareness in agricultural production.
The Pietralta farm covers 37 hectares, of which 5 hectares are vineyards, 1 hectare is olive groves, and 10 hectares are arable land. All the D.O.C.G. vineyards are planted at an altitude of 350 meters above sea level with south-east exposure.
The farm is also part of the San Gimignano organic district, the leader of the new Val d’Elsa Biodistrict project, and is associated with Fivi (Italian Federation of Independent Winegrowers), which represents its values.
We believe that associationism and the sharing of ideas and resources, creating a network among the actors who live in the rural community, is the only way to maintain the beauty of our territory while preserving its history and cultural and natural wealth.
