Company Description
The history of the winery begins in the late 1940s, when Umberto Ceci bought a small plot of land in San Paolo di Jesi, in the Battinebbia district, dedicated to the production of Verdicchio grapes.
In the early 1950s, the land was entrusted to Amato and his wife Maria, passionate winemakers who began producing and selling the wines made from their own vineyards.
Over time, the passion for viticulture involved their son Maurizio and his wife Serenella, who continued the family tradition and contributed to the growth of the winery.
In the early 2000s, Maurizio and Serenella launched a new production project called “Vignamato,” meaning “Amato’s vineyard,” dedicated to the person who recognized the great potential of Verdicchio and its territory.
Today the company has reached its fourth generation, managed by Alessandra, Andrea and Francesco, together with their parents. Each of them contributes to the winery in different areas such as administration, production, and international and Italian markets.
Driven by family values, passion and tradition, the winery continues to cultivate its vineyards in harmony with nature, producing wines that express the identity and character of the Verdicchio territory in the Marche region.
