Company Description

Olio Piro

Brother and sister Romain Piro and Marie-Charlotte Piro are proud to bring you the multiple award winning, 100% Italian, high antioxidant extra virgin olive oil Piro from the slopes of Monte Amiata in the Maremma region of Tuscany.

Olio Piro is an exquisitely crafted, fresh, first cold-pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil from the nutrient-rich volcanic soil shared with the Brunello di Montalcino vineyards in Tuscany.

Developed in cooperation with the Italian Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, Olio Piro embraces innovation to bring taste, quality and freshness to new heights. Our high antioxidant EVOO has won top awards in global contests from the start, including 2021’s best in the world in its category in the prestigious Flos Olei.

Olio Piro is a fantastic example of how high phenolic olive oils can offer both exceptional culinary experiences and remarkable health advantages. Its rich antioxidant content, very low acidity, and high oleic acid levels make it an ideal choice for health-conscious consumers who prioritize cardiovascular support, anti-inflammatory benefits, and cognitive wellness.

Olio Piro stands among the elite extra virgin olive oils, earning seven consecutive Gold Awards at the NYIOOC and an impressive 97 points from Flos Olei—the Michelin Guide of Extra Virgin Olive Oil—surpassing its mainstream competitor Laudemio Frescobaldi, which scored 91 points.

In 2018, Olio Piro received the Platinum Health Claim Award at the London IOOC, recognizing its high phenolic content and exceptional taste. This award marked the first Platinum level in the competition’s history. Olio Piro also secured Gold Medals for Quality in 2019 and 2020. Olio Piro won Gold Awards from Olive Japan in 2019 and 2020, as well as the Dubai Gold Award and Early Harvest Award in 2020 and 2021. In 2022, it was honored with the High-Quality Standard Gold Selection at the Monte Carlo Olive Oil Masters.

What really separates Piro is the marriage of ancient groves and modern science. Our proprietary double-filtration system was developed to yield a sophisticated flavor profile that is bold, vibrant, and peppery. Every bottle of Piro serves as a guarantee of freshness. We bottle in an oxygen-free environment, the gas you see in an unopened bottle is actually nitrogen, and seal it with a specialized anti-oxidation cap to prevent oxygen from degrading the oil. Even our glass is designed for quality: we use Vetri Speciali, a UV-resistant, tempered, and anti-phthalate-tinted glass from Trentino, to protect the oil’s integrity from light.

Acetaia Bonini

Bonini represents the excellence of the country’s high-end gastronomic heritage, specializing in the production of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PDO.

Production takes place at Acetaia Bonini, a small artisanal vinegar house in Vignola (Modena), where the vinegar is made exclusively from cooked grape must and aged for long periods in sets of wooden barrels made from different woods, some of which were started more than fifty years ago.

The company’s philosophy is based on craftsmanship, respect for tradition, and a strong connection to its territory. Production is intentionally limited and entirely handcrafted, with careful control of every stage, from barrel aging to bottling.

The range includes Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PDO, bottled in the iconic Giugiaro-designed bottle, as well as a selection of barrel-aged condiments made exclusively from cooked must. Bonini products are used by fine dining restaurants and contemporary kitchens internationally for their balance, aromatic depth, and versatility.

Thanks to its artisanal production model, Acetaia Bonini can offer small batches, dedicated selections for restaurants and specialty retail, and in-house private label projects tailored to partners’ positioning.
