BRANDS

The company detains two main brands: Terre Francescane and Gradassi, the latter distinguishing itself for being single estate.

Terre Francescane or the Lands of Francis are a reference to our location, the land of St Francis of Assisi, patron saint of Italy and replaced the old “Cufrol” brand which now remains only as the abbreviated form of our corporate name. The re-branding took place in 2004 with the launch of a signature range with seven Michelin Star Italian celebrity chef Bruno Barbieri.

The Gradassi brand derives from the Gradassi Family, majority shareholders of the company, and their olive mill in Campello Sul Clitunno and conveys the centuries’ long family tradition.

We then have three minor brands in what we describe as our “Collezioni d’Autore” or Masterpieces’ Collection:

A Beautiful Oil for Beautiful People

Created to convey one of the company’s core values: our concept of beauty is that every single one of us is unique and we dream of a world where all people are treated equally.

JOIL Jewel Oil Italian Luxury

Created in occasion of the 2015 Expo in Milan, the brand wished to convey through its quintessential Italian elegance that just like fine wines or fine chocolate, even high-quality extra virgin olive oil has its value and is perfect for luxury gifting.

Buio

Or “darkness” in Italian was created to convey one of the golden rules for preserving extra virgin olive oil: away from light and heat.
