Company Description
Hi, we’re Davide and his bees, a growing family-run business, nomadic beekeepers with around 300 hives in production, specializing in the production of monoflora honey. We are located in Quargnento, in the province of Alessandria, Piedmont, on the slopes of the first hills of Monferrato, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Nomadic beekeeping means that I travel with bees in the regions of Piedmont, Liguria and Valle d’Aosta, starting from 0 meters above the Mediterranean sea level near Albenga (SV), reaching up to 2000 meters above sea level in Champoluc and Aosta, in the Alps. The transhumance begins in March and continues until August, in search of the blooms that interest us most, through these territories rich in biodiversity.
The honey extracted by us in our laboratory does not undergo heating processes during extraction and crystallizes. We never feed bees sugars because we think they don’t like them and that honey should only contain flower nectar.
With these simple but indispensable precautions we make sure to offer our attentive customers a 100% natural product that maintains its antibiotic power, its vitamins, its mineral salts, polyphenols and of course its unique taste, that only this extraordinary land where we live can give.
Labeling and jar filling are also done by us, strictly by hand.
We collaborate with the University of Eastern Piedmont by providing microbiologists with several monoflora samples, that they use to conduct studies on the antibiotic power of honey on the epidermis.
We collaborate with various companies such as Bulgari, a jewelry factory in Valenza (AL), some wineries and resorts such as “Ich et nunc” in Vignale Monferrato (AL), Enosis Meraviglia in Fubine (AL), foundations such as Orsolina28 in Moncalvo (AT) and various others, where we place the hives on the customer’s land and the honey produced there is then branded by them and usually gifted to employees and customers.
