Company Description

Agricola Fattoria F.lli Massara is a historic family-run winery founded in 1835, with a long-standing commitment to producing genuine and high-quality wines. Located in the municipalities of Broni, Pietra de’ Giorgi, Redavalle, and Santa Giuletta, the estate extends across 15 hectares in some of the most suitable areas of the first hilly belt of Oltrepò Pavese, an ideal territory for viticulture.

The vineyards cultivate a wide range of grape varieties, including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, Moscato, Bonarda, Barbera, Sangue di Giuda, and Cabernet Sauvignon, all grown under optimal conditions that ensure excellent ripening. From these grapes, the winery produces D.O.C. and IGT Pavia wines, combining traditional winemaking techniques with modern equipment to achieve wines appreciated by both connoisseurs and demanding consumers.

The company’s reputation is reinforced by numerous awards and recognitions. Notably, it received a silver-gilt medal at the National Exhibition of Typical Wines in Casale Monferrato (1913) for its Barbera. It was also awarded a 1st degree diploma for Moscato and a 2nd degree diploma for Nebbiolo at the Oltrepò Pavese wine exhibition (1949), and later earned a silver medal for Italic Riesling in the “Stampa Sera” wine competition (1974).

The authenticity and quality of its wines are further confirmed by a historical certification issued in 1951 by the Episcopal Curia of Tortona, which recognized the wines as suitable for the celebration of Holy Mass. Today, Agricola Fattoria F.lli Massara stands as a symbol of tradition, heritage, and excellence, continuing to produce wines that reflect the identity and richness of its territory.
