Company Description

Passo delle Tortore, a winery from Irpinia, was inspired by an idea from four young, southern business women and a peer enologist who built his knowledge from traditional French linerie.

The dove, symbol of love, family and loyalty to the earth and nature, has been the inhabitant of this land for many years. From the honey-scented kiss of doves, our “Fiano” wine was born. Cool with fruity notes, it is characterized by honey, lime and tropical fruit flavor.

Little wild doves used to live in the ancient arches of Avellino’s hamlets. Here they received “the seeds of life” where a wild must scented old lady inebriated the whole community. From the splendor of this ancient story, the “Arcaie” was born.

It is a Greco di Tufo wine produced by grapes from high hills. In the blooming wild cardoon fields surrounding the same high hills, the “Piano del Cardo” wine was born, a straw colored Falanghina wine.

An elegant promenade, Passo della Serra, in the nearby village of Pietradefusi, has inspired the ruby red colour of the “Sassoserra”, Aglianico wine.

The different reddish colored stones of these lands have inspired the name of “Pietrarubra”, a purple red wine of refined and well balanced taste.
