Our vineyards grow on capricious terraces with breathtaking slopes on the Candia Hills, at the foot of the Apuan Alps; everything is done by hand, battling landslides every day and sometimes using hands and feet to climb back up the vineyard.
We work naturally, without chemicals; is it risky? Yes, but we like the result even more!
That’s why our wines have real character: they reflect and express each vintage. We’re passionate about our native grape varieties like Vermentino Nero, Massaretta, and the more famous Vermentino and we strongly believe in their great potential.
We’re constantly experimenting with new ideas together with institutions and universities: germplasm conservation plots, ancient woods for modern ageing, micro-vinifications, and much more. We’re deeply attached to our past and treasure it, but we keep our eyes curious and focused on the possibilities ahead.
