For over a century, the Sassetti family has cultivated some of the finest vineyards in Montalcino. The estate is located on the slopes of Montosoli hill, north of Montalcino, an area renowned as one of the most favorable terroirs for Sangiovese.
Today, the winery is managed by Lorenzo Sassetti, fourth-generation family member and son of Livio, who continues to uphold the family’s name and reputation together with his wife Sabina. With a strong passion for winemaking, Lorenzo is dedicated to crafting wines of character, balance, and elegance, combining modern techniques with long-standing family traditions.
His distinctive style results in well-balanced, refined wines that are recognized among the finest in Montalcino. Driven by a desire to explore different expressions of Italian wine, Lorenzo has also expanded the family’s presence to other prestigious regions, including the Tuscan Maremma and Valdobbiadene.
All Sassetti wines are deeply rooted in their terroir, reflecting a strong commitment to quality and a respect for tradition.
