Company Description
Founded in 2021 by the Dal Forno brothers, the Dal Forno Bros. winery is located on top of the hills of Illasi, a valley to the East side of the Valpolicella region.
The nickname “Comaroto” (the midwife’s son) traces its roots to the age-old profession of the Comare – Midwife – the role of Romano Dal Forno’s grandmother in the early years of the XX century.
Since then, Comaroto has been the proud emblem and identity of the Dal Forno family.
Comaroto is a process involving the care and artisan skills of true purists.
The vineyard must be tended to and the grapes managed carefully, delicately.
Comaroto conveys a strong message and identity reflecting its makers and producers.
Amarone and Valpolicella Comaroto are authentic wines achieved through a masterly production process.
From careful selection of the bunches to technical ‘adjustments’ to ensure manual work is performed as far as possible; manual skills make all the difference, the detail that gives body and value to the final product.
In 2024 the Dal Forno brothers finalised the acquisition of Trabucchi, the most historical winery in Val d’Illasi.
Founded back in 1924, Trabucchi produces two different Valpolicella Superiore, named Galante and Cereolo, beside a Ripasso and a superb Amarone of course.
Under the guide of the Dal Forno family now, the winery will continue to produce great wines with the objective to make the brand popular all ove the world.
