Company Description

Cantine Palesi is an organic winery located in the heart of the Valle d’Itria, Southern Italy, developed by the Albergo family as part of a long-term agricultural and cultural regeneration project.

In 2016, the family assumed the stewardship of Masseria Palesi, an historic rural estate, with the objective of restoring its original agricultural vocation and enhancing its environmental and cultural heritage. This marked the beginning of a structured investment in viticulture, grounded in scientific soil analysis, careful vineyard planning, and a clear commitment to certified organic farming.

Following seven years of vineyard development and agronomic research, the winery obtained official organic certification and, in January 2023, inaugurated a newly built, technologically advanced winemaking facility. The winery integrates modern production technologies with sustainable design principles, ensuring optimal conditions for vinification and ageing through controlled temperature and humidity, while minimizing environmental impact.

Cantine Palesi represents the convergence of innovation, sustainability, and territorial identity. The production focuses on organic wines that authentically express native grape varieties and the distinctive terroir of the Valle d’Itria, combining precision winemaking with respect for natural cycles.

The winery operates within Masseria Palesi as a contemporary production hub designed to meet international quality standards while preserving a strong connection to its agricultural origins. The Albergo family’s vision is centered on long-term sustainability, environmental responsibility, and the creation of wines that reflect both place and purpose.

Cantine Palesi positions itself as a reliable partner for international distributors, importers, and hospitality professionals seeking authentic, certified organic wines rooted in one of Italy’s most distinctive wine regions.

The estate includes 14 hectares of fully organic vineyards enclosed by centuries-old drystone walls, part of the cultural landscape of the Valle d’Itria. The mineral-rich soils and favorable microclimate provide ideal conditions for viticulture, while agronomic practices focus on preserving soil vitality and biodiversity through natural fertilization and continuous monitoring. Cantine Palesi produces certified organic wines from native grape varieties such as Susumaniello and Primitivo for the reds, and Verdeca and Bianco d’Alessano for the whites—authentic expressions of Southern Italy’s viticultural heritage.
