Company Description
The Euganean Hills Regional Park has been declared “a UNESCO World Heritage Site” for biodiversity.
The volcanic soils, rich in minerals, together with the mild climate with good temperature variations, offer the conditions for producing wines of great character.
Vignalta has managed to capture the richness and uniqueness of the area since its inception, cultivating its vineyards with the utmost respect for the environment.
The winery, entirely carved into the rock, is located in the municipality of Arquà Petrarca, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
The grapes are vinified with a minimalist approach with the sole aim of maintaining the integrity of the aromas and flavours contained in each bunch of grapes. Thus, the same important and unique emotions are transmitted to those who taste Vignalta wines as to those who produce them.
Our wines have received countless awards, most recently the Twentieth “Three Glasses” awarded by the Gambero Rosso Italian Wine Guide at GEMOLA 2019.
The same wine was awarded by the Italian Sommelier Association (AIS) as “Best red wine in the Veneto”.
Vignalta has the distinction of being a pioneering winery in terms of quality – both by planting high-density vineyards along the upper slopes of the hills and by turning the grapes into wine with a Level of meticulousness and ambition then unknown not only in the Euganean Hills but also in many other Italian wine regions.
The winery continues to this day to pursue a production philosophy oriented toward excellence, based on an extensive wine-growing heritage stretching from north to south across the main terroirs of the Hills, and of a modern oenological approach interpreted with mastery and insight.
