Tenuta Antonini – Where Heritage Meets Vision
The first harvest at Tenuta Antonini took place in 2020.
A young winery by date, yet one that confidently positions itself within the Italian wine landscape, built upon a deep-rooted connection to its land and a four-generation family history intertwined with viticulture and wine.
Alessio and his father Marco have brought to life the dream of Simplicio Antonini, who emigrated to the United States in the aftermath of World War I in search of opportunity, before returning home to invest everything he had painstakingly earned in the creation of a family-run agricultural enterprise.
From this legacy began a path of growth that was anything but linear, united by a constant guiding principle: a profound love for the land and an enduring passion for wine.
The Teramane Hills: A Naturally Distinctive Territory
Tenuta Antonini’s vineyards extend across 30 hectares within the DOCG Colline Teramane area, a territory exceptionally suited to viticulture and renowned for its unique characteristics, which make the wines produced here truly unmistakable.
To the east, breezes from the Adriatic Sea; to the west, winds descending from the Gran Sasso massif. Together, they create significant day–night temperature variations, ensuring optimal grape health and promoting the accumulation of aromatic compounds within the berries. These natural conditions play a decisive role in shaping wines of structure, intensity and elegance.
Tenuta Antonini wines are expressive and deeply territorial. Each sip reflects the pedoclimatic conditions that have indelibly influenced grape ripening, enhanced by winemaking techniques designed to preserve, interpret and strengthen the bond between wine and its place of origin.
The Land and the Human Hand
Viticulture is, above all, a matter of balance. While careful decisions can be made when selecting the land on which vineyards are planted, much remains beyond human control: the unpredictability of nature and climate, which can shape each vintage differently, even within the same label.
This is where the human hand comes into play. Technology and innovation are applied both in the vineyard and in the cellar, guided by skilled and experienced agronomists and winemakers who intervene with precision and sensitivity, directing the process only when necessary.
This is how Tenuta Antonini wines come to life: born from the vineyard and from the extraordinary vocation of the Teramane Hills—offering exceptional aromas and character—combined with modern winemaking techniques that know exactly which elements to enhance and which to soften.
A Contemporary Winery with an International Outlook
Tenuta Antonini represents the meeting point of two complementary strengths: Marco’s extensive experience as founder of a leading company in wine brokerage, with deep insight into international markets, and Alessio’s determination to finally give concrete form to his great-grandfather’s vision through a modern, ambitious and export-oriented winery.
Today, Tenuta Antonini produces wines that speak authentically of their territory while meeting the expectations of global markets—wines rooted in tradition, shaped by innovation, and ready to make their mark on the world.
