Company Description
Tenuta Pescarina is a family-run organic winery, part of Agricola San Panfilo Srl, located in Spoltore, in the heart of the Terre dei Vestini area, one of the most prestigious sub-zones of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC. The estate defines itself as “Artisan Farmers”, combining respect for Abruzzo’s rural traditions with a modern, sustainable, and quality-oriented approach.
All production follows ICEA-certified organic farming principles, with full control over every stage, from vineyard to cellar, including aging in oak barrels. The winery is housed in the historic Convent of San Panfilo, an 11th-century Benedictine complex set in a unique environment influenced by both the Adriatic Sea and the Majella mountains.
The estate covers 6 hectares of vineyards and produces around 20,000 bottles annually, focusing on Montepulciano, Pecorino, and Merlot. In recent years, the winery has embraced spontaneous fermentation as part of its commitment to natural winemaking and respect for the territory.
Tenuta Pescarina offers a range of organic wines divided into two lines: a classic line and a natural line, depending on the winemaking approach. Each wine reflects the identity of the land, combining tradition, craftsmanship, and careful attention to quality.
Deeply connected to its historical and cultural heritage, Tenuta Pescarina represents a balance between tradition, sustainability, and artisanal production, with a strong focus on small-scale quality and authenticity.
