Company Description

Trentingrana Consorzio dei Caseifici Sociali Trentini s.c.a. was founded in 1951 to bring together the Trentino social dairies, which at the time numbered over 100.

Currently, Concast’s members are 13 cooperative dairies spread across the province, representing around 600 local milk producers. The milk supplied to the cooperative facilities amounts to approximately 118,000 tonnes per year and is processed for the production of Trentingrana (approximately 100,000 wheels) and other typical Trentino cheeses. Cream is also collected from member dairies for the production of Trentino butter.

The Consortium also produces spray whey for animal feed. There are two maturing warehouses at the two consortium sites (Trento and Segno di Predaia), where approximately 110,000 wheels of cheese can be stored. The products are marketed through the operating subsidiary Gruppo Formaggi del Trentino, which brings together the Trentingrana Line and the Traditional Line.

There is a laboratory that analyses milk and dairy products; technical assistance is also provided to members.

The Consortium, which has almost 100 employees, generated a turnover of approximately € 65 million in 2024.
